When was the last time you bought an underwhelming holiday postcard to send home? Well we have an unusual travel art exhibit that might blow your mind!

We love to share our travels with the unlucky ones left behind in wet and windy England, with social media allowing more of an instantaneous sharing experience, but does it lose the personal and tactile touch of a good old-fashioned photo postcard? The nostalgia of jotting down a story on the back of a postcard and popping it in the post gives a much more personal touch for the recipient, something that they would wish to keep pinned on their pin board at home.

With this idea in mind, a group of artists from Conquer Gear set out on an urban exploration into forgotten territories, searching for those hard to find and abandoned spaces that are not in the guidebooks. Urban exploring meets the arts…….

With a collection of printed Conquer illustrations, some wallpaper paste, a camera and our wits, we travelled across the UK and Berlin searching for abandoned spaces that would make beautiful backdrops for our drawings and create an interesting narrative for our photographs. This is the culmination of a project started at the beginning of last year;a story we would love to share with you. So come and let us tell you the tales of these unusual spaces, the prints that we now showcase.

Putting together the different art forms of print, photography and video into one show that questions what we think of as being a tourist, and what we value about space’s we occupy. The art of forming memories!

The hand printed postcard packs will be available for anyone who wants to get their hands on one at the show, 500 editions and each contains 6 of the photo’s from the exhibition. Only £7 so who said art was unaffordable!
